How Cadence works

The weekly rhythm, broken down.

Six stages. One loop. Every week your pipeline pulls what competitors just posted, turns it into a report, and hands you five ideas ready to move through a board.

You bring your own API keys.

Cadence is the software. Scraping (Apify), scripts + ideas (OpenRouter), embeddings (Google AI) all run on your keys encrypted with AES-256-GCM. You see every call, every cost. Rotate or revoke any time.

01

Add competitors

Pick three-to-fifteen creators in your space. Paste their Instagram handles. Cadence resolves each one, pulls a profile preview, and tags them so you can group by niche later.
02

Scrape the recent window

You trigger a scrape from Settings → Scraping or from a competitor's page. Cadence pulls their last 30–90 days of reels through Apify: hook, caption, view count, likes, comments, posted date, video URL. All public data. You can re-run the scrape whenever you want.
03

Transcribe what's worth transcribing

You choose which reels to transcribe. Cadence sends the video to Gemini and gets back an A/V script (visuals + audio beats, not just captions). This is what makes the rest work — a hook without its delivery is half a hook.
04

A weekly strategist report

Cadence reads the scraped set and writes a report: top five videos with a paragraph on each, three winning patterns you can actually replicate, ten hook ideas tied to specific competitor posts, and one key takeaway. Formatted exactly like the n8n workflow top creators use — we just ship it as a product.
05

Generate ideas in your voice

From one or more reports, Cadence drafts five ideas. Each one remixes a specific competitor hook against what you've posted, and comes back with a structured beat-sheet script (Hook / Body / Payoff / CTA). Every idea gets two scores:
  • Novelty vs your past hooks — how different this is from what you've already posted.
  • Voice match with your scripts — how closely the tone and cadence match your real posts.
06

Move, schedule, publish

Promote an idea → it becomes a card on the Kanban board. Drag it through Idea → Ready → Scheduled → Posted. Drop it on a date and a Google Calendar event is created on your primary calendar. Change the date later, the same event updates — no duplicates. Once posted, Cadence links the real reel back to the card so next week's report can learn from it.

And the loop closes.

The reels you actually posted become part of the next report's input. Hooks that did well get remixed forward. Ideas you rejected get dropped from future novelty scoring. Every run sharpens.

What Cadence isn't.

  • Not:
A video editorWe don't edit, upload, or host video. You edit where you already edit — we schedule what you're about to post.
  • Not:
A scheduler that posts for youInstagram's API doesn't make autoposting reliable for creators. Cadence lives on the planning side: what to make, when to make it, when it goes out.
  • Not:
A training dataset farmYour scripts, edits, and scraped data are yours. We don't train models on your content. We don't share it with third parties.

Your data stays yours

Tenant-isolated Postgres with row-level security. Your keys encrypted with AES-256-GCM.

Every cost visible

Each LLM run logs model, tokens, and cost. You see exactly what each report or idea batch costs.

BYOK, always

Apify, OpenRouter, Google AI — you connect the keys, you pay the providers. Cadence only charges for software.

Try it on three competitors.

Connect your keys, add three handles, generate your first report. Fifteen minutes end-to-end.
